8A v Solefield: On a sunny afternoon in Otford, our team won 5-0. My player of the match was Orson because he scored. Oliver and Cameron scored as well. The team played really well. Orson and Cameron got a brace each. Oliver
U8B v Solefield: We played really well and we won the match. Soren was great in midfield and Henry and Max were great in defence. Our goalkeeper was superb in goal, saving all shots.
William was performing very well, he was strong in midfield and did very well over all. I think the player of the match is William because he played very well and made a good effort. The score was 1-0. Hugo
Spring Grove Tournament
U9A: We played four games at the Spring Grove football tournament. We won two and lost two. We missed a couple of chances, but we didn’t give up. We pushed up together and there was good passing.
We kept our formation and worked well as a team. Gabriel was my player of the tournament because he made good tackles and defended well. Milo
U9B: In the first match, we scored 4 and they scored 0. The next match was a 0-0 draw with one of the Spring Grove teams. After that, we played Lorenden and won 6-0 before finishing our last game by beating another Spring Grove team 4-0. Rowan
U9B: In the first match, we scored 4 and they scored 0. The next match was a 0-0 draw with one of the Spring Grove teams. After that, we played Lorenden and won 6-0 before finishing our last game by beating another Spring Grove team 4-0. Rowan
U10/11B: The first match against Spring Grove ended 0-0. Our second and third matches were both wins for Russell House, ending 1-0. We then drew in the next match against the second Spring Grove team before winning the next two matches 1-0 again. Everybody played very well, especially George and Rowan. Rory
U10 St Michael's Tournament
In the tournament, we were supposed to have Theo, Euan, Anthony, William, Harry and I. Unfortunately, Theo our superman goalie, had injured his finger which was bent back saving the ball from the day before. We all missed him. So we rotated the goalie. Harry was in goal for the first two, then William went for the next two games. We had four games in the group stage. Our first match was against New Beacon. Sadly, we lost that 1-0 but I still think we played very well. Our second match was against Sevenoaks Prep and we lost that one as well with 1-0, but Harry made some outstanding saves and we played very well as a team. For our third match, we made a few changes. We had William in goal and the four of us were like a square. So we played like that and Harry scored a goal. In the end, we lost 3-1 but we played very well. Then we had our fourth match, for which we used the same format and we played our hardest and scored another goal by Euan and that put us in the lead of 1-0, but the game wasn’t over. Later, they scored and that left us 1-1 as our final score. Overall, that I think we played amazingly well as a team, despite placing 5th. Sean
U9 Tournament at Caterham
First we played against Reigate in the group stage. In the first half we were quite slow and they scored two easy goals, but in the second half we were a lot better at going to the ball. They scored one goal which was unfortunate because they snuck one past us. Next, we played Hilden Grange. We played with hope and Jasper scored a great goal to get us a point and a draw. After that, we played Caterham and they scored a great goal. Then we had a corner and everyone was in their box with no defenders so their keeper booted the ball away and I made a last-minute tackle. In the end, we came 4th in our group of 4, so we got into the Plate semi-finals. In the semis, we played Banstead. It was a great match and Rion hit the post, really unlucky. It was 0-0 so it was straight to a penalty shootout. We scored lots of good penalties and Milo nearly made a save. We lost 6-5. We all had lots of fun and we all went home happy. Noah
