U10/11A v St Michael's
On Wednesday we went to St Michaels to play a hard ball cricket match. They were a very good team so we had to battle hard to win. We lost the toss and batted first. Euan was definitely our player of the match as he retired on 25 runs and got 2 wickets. In the end we won by one run! We all played extremely well and it was a great match. Well done team! Annabel
U10/11B v Solefield
Today we played Solefield. The score was 192-172 to us. The opening batsmen were Noah and Henry. They played very well, with Noah hitting a few 6s but sadly got bowled out. Henry ran a few great singles. The next pair, Freddie and Finlay, hit some great shots to keep up our good start. Theo E and Anthony kept hitting some marvellous shots and a few 6s. Theo E stayed on and then batted with Theo H, which was the only partnership that didn't lose a wicket. For the last pair, we had Noah and Henry, who nearly got the score to a century. We were pleased with how the team batted. For the fielding, we all contributed really well with the positions from wicket keeper to bowling and everyone keeping their heads up. The Form 7 cricketers all played extremely well for their last game. Theo H
U8/9C v Rose Hill
The match did not go exactly to plan. Although Rose Hill batted first, they got a massive score of 281! Even though we got 252 runs, we lost by 29 runs.
U10/11A v Radnor House
We played a hardball cricket match away at Radnor House. We won the toss and chose to bowl. With many wickets from various players, we bowled them all out for 241 runs (you start on 200 runs). Then we batted, with Harry and I opening the batting, getting 18 runs between us both in the first three overs. Next, Rory and Jake went out scoring 13 runs between the two of them. Annabel and Jessica went in to bat, getting many boundaries between them and scoring 24 runs. As we only had nine players and there are 15 overs, I batted again with William, picking up lots of singles and 2s and scoring 23 runs. In the end, we won the match with 281 runs. Euan
U10/11B v Radnor House
The B Team played against Radnor House. Everyone played extremely well to get a score of 280 runs and to take 9 wickets. The player of the match was Zoey, who bowled 2 wickets and got a catch and a run-out. Noah
U10/11C v Radnor House
I think we all played extremely well and we won by quite far. We scored 287 and Radnor scored 251. My player of the match is probably Theo E because he hit a six when he was batting and bowled well. Seán
U8/9 v Rose Hill
The match against Rose Hill was very close, but we won by five points. Orsen played excellently. He did some really long hits and some great bowling. We all enjoyed being outside in the hot weather and match tea was delicious! Gabriel

U10 v Hilden Oaks
This match was an interesting one because, after the first ten minutes, it started raining, and it rained a lot, and then it became dry again, then it became wet, but then it became dry again! In the end, we managed to play and we were glad the rain had stopped! We loved the match and even made some new friends. Shanaya
U8/9A v St Michael's
In the cricket match, we were fielding first and Lara was the first bowler. Lara caught a ball and so did Petra. Eliora and Ana were the first batting pair. I scored two 4s and about three 2s. Ana scored two f4s and two 2s. The next batting pairs were Lara, Petra, Emilia, Imogen, Clara and Jessica. Then we all did three cheers and player of the match. The player of the match was Jessica for the batter and Lara as the bowler. We all had an amazing time and they won by only a little bit. It was an amazing match and we all had a fantastic time. Eliora

U8/9B v St Michael's
We lost 250/267 runs. The player of the match was Ela. We were fielding first and we did well, but they scored some 4s and a 6. Sophia started to bowl, then Baani. Ela started as wicket keeper, then Erin. Mullai and Baani started at batting and did well, then Ela and Sophia batted second, then Evelyn and Mo, then Erin and Ela. We played well and enjoyed the match. Evelyn
U8/9C v St Michael's
On Thursday, we had an away match at St Michael's and we lost by 9 runs. Our score was 233. I think everyone was better at fielding than batting. Mrs Crofton-Duncan was very impressed with everyone's improved bowling. Penny
U10/11B v King's Rochester
King's Rochester batted first. Noah made some amazing catches and a few run-outs. The whole team bowled very well and lots of us got wickets. Freddie was the best we've ever seen him, as he hit four 4s and did well in bowling. Anthony also hit four 4s. Theo E looked lively on the boundaries, making some great stops. It was Form 6's first game, so I thought they played very well. Theo H took a good wicket with his bowling. The final score was 265-282. Player of the match was Freddie for all his amazing shots. We were all really pleased with how we played together as a team. Theo H
U10/11A v King's Rochester
We played away at King's Rochester and it was a very close game, with us only just beating them in the final few balls. Zach was voted player of the match, while Euan, Harry, Jessica and Annabel also had very good all-round performances. Jake played very well, considering it was his first ever hard ball game. Kit also kept very well, as it was also his first ever hard ball game. Our fielding was good, with Euan getting a direct-hit run-out, but there weren't many big mistakes in the field. Everyone made a good contribution and we all played very well. Zachary
U8A v Solefield
We had our first away cricket match on Thursday the 7th of May. The team enjoyed their match against Solefields. It was a close match, although we lost, we still had fun. I think Orson did awesome at batting, Cyrus and Henry were amazing at bowling. Oliver and Alexander were brilliant at fielding. Cameron was amazing at batting too. We were a great team. We can all practice a bit more, just need more confidence and don't hesitate to run when you need to. Cyrus
U8B v Solefield
We had a great time, although we lost by 4 runs! The score was 276 to Russell House and 280 to Solefield. I think the player of the match was Soren because he got up and played the rest of the match even though his foot hurt a lot. I think everyone played really well, but I think we could do a lot better next time. Hugo
U11 A v St Michael's
The match against St Michael's went well, even though we lost 251-262. Everyone got at least one wicket. Zoey hit three 4s, Amelie hit two 4s and a 6 and Rosie hit a 4 and a 6. Zoey got the batter of the match and Rosie got the bowler. Everyone played to the best of their ability and put in heaps of effort. Alba
U10/11 B v St Michael's
Russell House won 280-266 against St Michael's School. We got one wicket and two 4s. They got two wickets, but then we got loads of runs. Evie
U10/11 C v St Michael's
The U10/11 C team played a very good match against St Michael's. I think our star player was Orla. We need to work on our aim a bit, but otherwise we played very well. The score was Russell House 238 and St Michael's 251. Olivia
U8 A v Lingfield College
The score was 237 to Russell House, but Lingfield beat us by 1 run, with 238 as their final score. The player of the match was Jessica. Lots of people stood out like Sophia, Jessica, Clara and Ela. Sophia was good at bowling and so was Jessica. Clara got a 6 and three 4s and Ela got two 4s. When we were fielding, some of us could have paid a bit more attention to the ball. Clara
U8 B v Lingfield College
The Russell House and Lingfield match was great. I thought our and Lingfield's players were great and I think Poppy and I were the best at batting, but Sadie and Caer were great at bowling. We were all great at working together and fielding, but I think we could still work on bowling. We won the match and it was all very fun. Ophelia
U10/11 A v Hilden Oaks
We played Hilden Oaks and we won, with us scoring 261 runs and them scoring 228. We bowled and batted very well, with Kit having a great spell, with 3 wickets and not many runs given away. Rory was our standout batter for the day, scoring around 15 runs for our team. Our fielding could've been slightly better, as there were a few dropped catches, but in general we played well and it was a good match. Zachary
U10/11 B v Hilden Oaks
It was the first cricket match this season, and it was more than amazing! We were playing against Hilden Oaks, who had some fast bowlers, but put up an average fight. About halfway through the match, we already had four wickets, two by Noah, one by Theo, and one by Clara. At that point, we all thought that we had a good chance to win, and we were right! We ended the match with a 268 - 223 win to us. We were so happy to win the very first match of the new season! Theo
U8 v Hilden Oaks
Hilden Oaks made 273 runs and Russell House made 251. We all tried our best. Clara took two wickets and played very well. Sophia also did really well at wicket-keeping. I think some of us could improve our bowling. Other than that, everyone played very well. We all had a great time and are excited for our next match. Jessica
U9 v Walthamstow Hall
It was a great game, but sadly we lost, as they made 292 runs and we made 281. Lara did some great batting and Emilia and Eliora did some good fielding. We all played very well! Player of the match was Modupe. Lara
