U9 v Hilden Oaks: Our team remains unbeaten this season and we won this match with a final score of 9-0 (including one own goal). Our team kept possession for most of the match with all of our players communicating really well and showing great awareness of each other. Lara did some great passing and scored two goals. Emilia was our top scorer with three goals, while Petra, Imogen and I scored one each. Our player of the match was Mullai. Well done to the whole team. We are looking forward to the next one. Anastasia
U8A v Hilden Oaks: It was a tough match, but there were lots of goals scored. We lost by only one goal. Jessica scored six goals and Ellie scored one. Jessica was player of the match. The score was 7-8. Our passes were really good, but I think we need to work on our calling. Sophia
U10/11A v Hazelwood: We started strong, driving up the pitch. Jessica scored the first goal in the first half. In the second half, Jessica scored two more goals, making a hat trick. Then Annabel scored another goal, making it 4-0. Anya and Clara stayed further back on the pitch in defence, stopping the ball from getting to our goalkeeper. Our goalkeeper made two saves (their only shots) so we won 4-0. Jessica was the player of the match. Lottie
U10/11B v Hazelwood: Both teams played very well, with the final score being 0-0. Our star player of the match was Isabelle with some amazing tackles and dribbling. Amelie was great at getting the ball from the other team and Olivia was excellent at preventing Hazelwood from scoring. Overall, I think we all did our best and had a lot of fun while playing. Imogen
U10/11C v Hazelwood: We won 2-0 and Maka was given player of the match. Orla and I scored the two goals. There were some points in the game when we were so close to scoring, but their goalkeeper was really good at defending. Jaya and Shanaya played brilliantly in defence, assisting our goalkeeper, who did some excellent kicks to defend our goal. Hazel was great at finding her teammates and helping us keep possession. Jessie was extremely fast at taking the hit outs and I think the whole team did really well at keeping spaced out. Bella
IAPS Regional Qualifier at Haileybury College: On the 10th of October, we travelled to Haileybury College to play in the IAPS hockey tournament. In the first game, we played St Michael's and lost 4-0. Jessica played very well on her reverse stick and Annabel was very good at driving up the pitch. The next game we played Downsend and the score was 0-0. Everyone played well, but I think Anya was the best in this game. We tried really hard to score, but we just couldn't. After that, we drew 0-0 with St Faith's. Jessica played really well and we tried hard to score, but their goalkeeper was really good.
Next we played Belmont, who had won all their games so far. We started off great, with an excellent goal scored by Lottie so we were ahead 1-0, but Belmont equalised and scored the winning goal from a penalty corner in the last 10 seconds. This meant that we went through to the quarter-finals of the Plate Competition.

In the knockouts, we then played Dame Bradbury's and it was a 0-0 draw so it went to golden goal, which is where the team who scores first wins. But no one scored in that, so it went to penalty shuffles. This was the first time we have ever had to do penalty shuffles in a game and we won that with our goalkeeper playing really well, saving two goals and then Alba scoring the winning goal. We then sadly lost the semi-final to Beechwood, which meant that we had to play our final match in the 3rd and 4th place play-off. We played Brentwood and again it was a 0-0 game and it went down to golden goal. In the last 2 minutes, Jessica delivered the ball to Annabel, who scored a fantastic goal that put us third in the Plate competition. Well done, Russell House! Clara
