Hockey
U10/11 B v Caterham Prep: We played against Caterham and we drew 1-1. The player of the match was Olivia and she scored our goal. I think we did really well as a team and Evie was also excellent. Imogen made some great tackles and Mullai was amazing in defence. Maka came so close to scoring.
U10/11 C v Caterham Prep: On Wednesday the 30th September, we played hockey against Caterham. We all played very well but unfortunately we lost 1-3. We did very well at keeping the ball upwards, especially Erin, our player of the match. We also kept our shape when the ball was coming towards us. The defending team of Jaya and Humari were very good at clearing the ball to the side, even if it meant we swiped it out a bit too hard! We all did very well again and we should be proud of ourselves. Jaya
U9 Tournament at The Hawthorns: We played in a hockey tournament at The Hawthorns School. We played four games in our group and finished second and went through to the semi-finals. In the semi-final we won 2-1, which meant we played St Michael's in the final. In the final, St Michael’s played their best A team and we had some chances, but they scored 2 and St Michael’s won the tournament but we came second. Jessica
U8/9 v Radnor House: Russell House won 5-0 against Radnor House. In our match, Olivia and Ophelia scored a goal, but everyone played well. Hannah
U10 Tournament at Rose Hill: We joined the tournament at Rosehill and came first among eight teams! We started by winning 3 matches in the group stage. First we won against Marlborough House Vinehall 6-0. Next we beat Battle Abbey 3-0. Finally we played Rosehill and it was 3-2 to us. That was our toughest opponent in the tournament. We went to the finals because we came first in our group! It was against St Ronan's and we won that match 3-0. Lara was the player of the tournament and everyone played very well. I think both our attack and defence were very strong. Petra, Lara, Emilia and Jessica worked together well and did a lot of good passing. The defence was great at clearing out balls and not letting the opponents get into the D. Petra
U11A v Sevenoaks Prep: On Wednesday the 9th of September, we played Sevenoaks Prep. Isabelle got player of the match in the first half and Evie got player of the match in the second half. I think we all played really well. The defenders (Jessie and Isla) did not let a single person go past them and Isabelle was always sprinting to score. We drew 0 to 0 but we all gave it our best ! U8/9 A v Lingfield College: We played our first hockey match of the season against Lingfield College. We all played brilliantly and won the match 4-2. Lingfield scored the first goal quickly, but we didn't let that affect us and we scored our first goal by Jessica. Ela and Isabella were strong in defence and we scored again when Clara set up Jessica. We worked hard as a team and Sadie did lots of running up and down the pitch. Jessica and Sophia scored the last 2 goals and we did well as a team. Sophia was player of the match. Clara
U10/11 C v Sevenoaks Prep: Today we played a home match against Sevenoaks Prep. Everyone was really nice and the score was 2-1 and Shanaya was the player of the match. We had a wonderful match tea and they had great manners and were very kind. Shanaya
U8/9 C v Lingfield College: On Thursday 10th September, we went to play hockey at Lingfield. We lost 4-6. However, there were some good goals by myself and Rosie and Olivia did an excellent job of saving a goal. I am very proud of how everybody played and for the next match we shall work on spreading out. I can't wait until our next game. Bronwen
U10A v Sevenoaks Prep: We played very well and won 4-2 and we also lost against the Sevenoaks Prep U11 team. Eliora played some great defence. Lara and Emilia did some great goal scoring. Petra also played very well! Lara
U8/9 B v Lingfield College: We won 7-2. Ophelia was player of the match. I was up front, Ophelia was right wing and Willow was left wing. Penny and Hannah were defenders. The match tea was chocolate biscuits and fruit and I chose to have some orange. Caer

U10/11A v Hilden Oaks: Both teams played exceptionally well with a final result 4-2 to Hilden Oaks. Harry scored a brace for Russell House. Russell House played well, passing the ball a lot and getting through to the strikers. The midfielders got a lot of shots away, resulting in 2 goals. Harry
U10/11B v Hilden Oaks: We played Hilden Oaks and we won 5-1. Rion scored a hatrick, Gabriel scored and the final goal was an own goal by the other team. Rowen G, Rowan B and Freddie made lots of good clearances. Kit and Ryan always made themselves an option from goal kicks. Finlay and Gabriel always made themselves good options up front. Harry and Arthur had lots of good opportunities and Rion made lots of good shots. George made some amazing saves and that is why the team voted him player of the match. Mr McCarthy even voted for him to be player of the field (player of the match across both matches). What we are doing well is that we're taking a second once we've got the ball to look where the space is and who to pass to. George
U8/9A v Bickley Park: In the first half, we conceded two early goals, but then we didn't concede for the rest of the half. In the second half, we were the better team, constantly putting them under a lot of pressure. Unfortunately, we didn't score any goals and the final score was 2-0 to Bickley Park. Everyone played amazingly.
Orson
U8/9B v Bickley Park: We won the match 2 -1 and the performance was great. Pran tackled everyone. Soren scored two goals. The first one, he chipped it over the goalkeeper's head. The second one, it hit the right bar and went in. They were both unbelievable goals! The whole team worked very hard and the result was in our favour.

U8/9C v Bickley Park: The match was very exciting. I felt like we played very well. We let in an unfortunate goal to Bickley and then it was 1-0. At the closing stages of the first half, I had a shot on goal but it curled to the right. Then the second half came and we played a lot better than we did in the first half. I had a few shots on goal but missed them all. Then the final whistle came and it was unfortunate, but overall, I think we played very well. William
U8/9D v Bickley Park: The score was 4-0 to them, we knew they were a tough opponent. We had fun, even though we lost. I think Hugo is better at striker even though he played midfield. Max was really good in goal and was supported by Arty and Albert, who were brilliant. Roman did very well as a striker and Cyrus played well in goal before moving to defence, which he really enjoys. U8A v Solefield: Form 4 played really well. Toby and Hamish were great at scoring goals. The score was 4-0 to us against Solefield. The teamwork was excellent. Hugo
U8B v Solefield: Our first game we lost 0-5, but we played well for our first ever football match. Our second match we won 4-0. Rocco scored the goals, Jamie made some great assists, Roman did some good tackling, Albert and Artie were great in defence. We enjoyed match tea and are really looking forward to our next match. U9A v Solefield and Hilden Oaks: Today Russell House drew against Hilden Oaks 1-1 and we won against Solefield 1-0. I think that Orson was my player of the match, because he assisted both of the goals. Everybody did very well! I think we need to take all of our chances to shoot when we get the opportunity. Oliver
U9B v Solefield: We won 2-1. The opposing goalie was very good so it was pretty hard to score. William scored an amazing goal, he was helped by a cat distracting the goalie. Our attacking and defence were great, but we could have made a little bit more space to improve the likeliness of scoring goals. Well done team. Max
