States of chocolate buttons!
27 Feb 2026In science, the children had the chance to carry out a melting experiment as part of their states of matter topic.
It involved chocolate buttons and the children learnt not only the melting point but also how to use a thermometer and a stopwatch accurately.
Form 4 have begun practising their play in earnest this week. They have had a chance to use the stage and are making excellent progress with learning their lines, songs and cues.
In maths, they have been tackling the tricky topic of division but shown great perseverance with larger numbers and even applied their knowledge successfully to word problems. There has also been time for competitive maths games that have brought out their competitive spirit.
In humanities, the children found out about the key features of a church and what their role would be during a service.
