Superpowers

Form 4 led an assembly this week to introduce Anti-Bullying Week and its theme, Power for Good, to the rest of Main School.

They all spoke clearly and confidently and could give several examples of how they could use their own superpowers for good.

In humanities, the children have begun their new geography topic of mapwork. They began by trying to draw a bird's eye view of the school and its grounds. They quickly realised that the scale was particularly challenging and pondered over how to label the buildings when there were two storeys.

Maths has focused on the tricky topic of division and the children have been very resilient even when it has been challenging. As a result, everyone has now been introduced to the bus stop method and they are becoming more confident when dealing with larger numbers.

There has also been time for a very messy science lesson. The children were given a pair of tights, a plastic bag, two weetabix and some orange juice. They used these to replicate our digestive system. It created a lot of squeals and discussion, but the children managed to successfully complete the task.
