Form 5 enjoyed visiting the Father’s Day stall, carefully choosing gifts and thinking about the special people in their lives. The children approached the occasion with great thoughtfulness and excitement, and it was lovely to see them taking such care in selecting their presents.

The class also took part in Inter-House Maths, competing in their house teams in a variety of mathematical puzzles, challenges and problem-solving activities. The event provided an excellent opportunity for the children to apply their maths skills in a competitive setting while also working collaboratively to solve problems. There was plenty of enthusiasm, teamwork and determination on display throughout the competition.

In English, Form 5 have begun studying Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. The children have been exploring the characters, setting and themes of the novel, while developing their understanding of life in Victorian Britain. They have shown great curiosity about the challenges faced by Oliver and have enjoyed discussing the author’s vivid descriptions and memorable characters. The class are looking forward to discovering what happens next in this famous story.
