They've practised with props, lighting and costumes and, although some of them are a little nervous, they are very much looking forward to next week's performances. 

 

The children focused on the theme of change and adaptation during science as part of Science week. After discussing Darwin and the theory of evolution, the children chose 8 animals each to research and produce Top Trumps for. They found out each animal's speed, weight, height/length and then added in categories of fur, able to swim and predator or prey. There was finally time to enjoy playing with their cards against their friends.

 

 

In maths, they have continued telling the time and have now moved on to digital time, measurements of time and calculating time intervals. It's a tricky concept to master, but the children have all been putting in a good deal of effort and have persevered well.
