They have continued with the theme of newspaper reports in English and are just putting the final touches to their own reports. They were also suitably impressed with the performances during the Form 7 public speaking competition and hopefully feel inspired to enhance their own speaking skills.

In maths, they have focused on formal methods for multiplication and division and have then used these to answer one and two-step word problems. The children have realised how useful (yet again) their times table knowledge is when tackling these questions.

Science saw another chance to experiment, this time with elastic bands. The children were responsible for setting up their own equipment and tested the effect that adding various masses had on the length of the elastic band. 

They were also excited to all be participating in cricket matches this week.
