Quizzes and challenges
13 Jun 2025Form 4 took part in the Inter-House Maths Competition this week.
They had to work as a team on various tasks to earn points for their house. First up was a game of battleships, followed by a mathematical word quiz, a place value challenge and how many different ways they could make 24. The points earned get added to the rest of the schools and an overall winner will be announced shortly.
They have also been continuing their investigation into the theft of the cricket bat. After carrying out a PH test, the children now know that the mysterious substance on the shopping list is egg white. They have also been busy fingerprinting and interrogating key suspects. The net is closing!
In English, the children are writing exciting mystery stories and thought carefully about hooking their audience from the start. Just a few wonderful examples were;
- Sometimes, stones don't sink.
- He saw it. He couldn't resist it. Arthur pressed the big, red button ...
- It all began in the library.
- No-one expected it when the window was left open...
Form 4 enjoyed picking out presents at the RHPA Father's Day Stall.
