Tallying of teeth

Form 4 have settled back into the new term and have enjoyed finding out about their new topics.

They have begun finding out about teeth and digestion in science and keeping themselves safe in PSHE. The small dental mirrors in the science lab were great fun for finding out exactly what teeth they had. They are finishing off their work on Romans this week and beginning a geography topic in humanities next week.

In maths, they were challenged to see if they could multiply in columns. It was tricky at first, but there was a lot of success by the end of the week.

In English, they have begun reading a book called The Giants and the Joneses by Julia Donaldson. They were surprised to learn that she writes chapter books for older children and they quickly spotted that the book is retelling the story of Jack and the Beanstalk from the giant's point of view.
