This is my place

Form 4 have been busy telling the rest of the school about Children's Mental Health week.

They presented an assembly to the rest of the school about this year's theme, This is My Place, and explained how a sense of belonging is important for our mental health. They also demonstrated to the rest of the school the activities that will be taking place next week.

In English, the children have completed their Beowulf stories, taking care to punctuate their work accurately and arrange it into paragraphs. They are now excitedly awaiting their play scripts and finding out which parts they have in the production at the end of term.

They have also been continuing work on fractions in their maths lessons. The children have excellent recall of their multiplication tables, which has proved very useful this week when working on equivalent fractions and finding fractions of an amount.

In science, the children planned an experiment to find out how porous various rocks were. They quickly came up with a plan and were fascinated to see the air bubbles as they put various rocks into water.
