Let the battle commence!

Form 5's assembly to the rest of the school was full of drama and action!

On Thursday, Form 5 delivered a dramatic assembly based on their studies of the Medieval period in England.

They started by explaining how the period began in 1066 and described the situation the country found itself in at the time. Edward the Confessor had died without an heir, so the Normans, Vikings and Saxons all vied to be rulers of England.

The children acted out the battles of Stamford Bridge and Hastings on stage, using an array of weapons they had brought in and made at home. They spoke loudly and clearly to describe what was happening in each scene and also explained the stages of the battle. Well done everyone on a fantastic assembly!
