The great banana race14 Mar 2019
Form 2 have had a very exciting Science Week.
As part of their activities for Science Week, Form 2 had to transport their bananas (which were actually pieces of Lego) through a tunnel by pulling the string very carefully with the bananas on a trolley. Any slight bump, or if the children were too quick, the banana would get lost in the tunnel.
The tunnels and trains had been made by Form 7 who had carried out the same challenge. It was a House competition and Johnson was the fastest, completing the task in 4 minutes and 38 seconds!
The children have also been acting and writing about The Lion and the Mouse fable. They are planning to perform it next week during their assembly.
The cress is growing well… Phew! I can safely say that the children in Form 2 are great carers. We are now exploring and thinking about people who help us in the community.
In Maths, the children have been adding and subtracting multiples of 10 from a given number and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. They have also been looking at various number sequences.
